I was born near Chicago (and am a proud mid-westerner), grew up in the Tampa Bay area of Florida and currently live in Greenpoint, Brooklyn with my partner and our Chihuahua-mix named Bear.

I'm into comic books, music from slow and quiet to fast and loud, live performances, simplicity and making things for the web. Growing up in the punk/hardcore/DIY scene made a huge impression on me and is one of the reasons I fell in love with the independence behind the internet and building for it.

Professionally, I'm a hands-on software design leader with 23 years of experience leading initiatives for everything from scrappy zero-to-one startups to the largest companies in the world. My work focuses on rapid and wide-ranging iteration, elegant minimalism, cross-team collaboration and hyper-usable workflows that help people get things done.
